James Morrison is coming to town

BRISBANE: World renowned trumpet virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist James Morrison headlines a stellar cast featuring some of Australia’s finest musicians and singers in this bold, brassy and dynamic musical refurbishment of some of the greatest No. 1 hits of the past 30 years. With his charming and larrikin manner, James Morrison is looking forward to having some fun with the Orchestra, the performers and the audience and promises to include a few surprises during the evening to make the show even more special. ``Come join me and have a great time, a few laughs and enjoy some wonderful classics,’’ Morrison said. Featuring special guest Doug Parkinson, whose voice is part of our rock heritage, with his fantastic stage presence Doug is a true Australian national treasure. Having appeared in countless line ups and many stage shows Doug has performed in spectacular shows like Soulman, Motown Story, Buddy Holly Concert and Let Good Times Role and has supported a number of high profile international guests including The Who, The Four Tops, The Pointer Sisters, The Temptations, Thelma Houston, Bob Marley and the Wailers, and many others. ``We have assembled a great line of for this one off concert, we are going to have some fun,’’ Morrison said. The concert will be held at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre on February 5.
