For the first time in last 18 years James Morrison has finally won this years ARIA awards on Wednesday night for his collaboration with acappella group The Idea Of North.
At a ceremony in Sydney their record,Feels Like Spring, took the award for best Jazz Album.
Ahead of the main ARIA Awards on Sunday night at the Opera House, only genre awards was presented so far.
Dance music breakthroughs Yolanda Be Cool And D-Cup also won a maiden ARIA for their worldwide club smash We No Speak Americano.
Their song scooped the award for best dance release.
M-Phazes's Good Gracious record, meanwhile, beat off strong competition from Urthboy and Bliss N Eso to claim the best urban album award.
